Members & visitors are invited to the field on Boxing Day for some flying & a BBQ. Just bring whatever you'd like to BBQ and drink. And a helicopter or 2 if you have them.
Bunnings Taree are having a Christmas family fun night on Thursday 5th December from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. A number of our members will be displaying a variety of radio controlled helicopters and available to talk with anyone interested in how they work and how to get into the hobby.
We are having a short working bee happening next SATURDAY (28th).
It would be great if we could as many people out as possible to help, as they say many hands make light work! And the faster we finish the more flying we can do afterwards. There's a bbq at the field so bring your meat and drinks and we can eat afterwards while admiring our handiwork.
We're putting the posts in for the shade cloth to go up and installing the other gate so there's more room for everyone to get in and out with their machines and gear.
If you don't feel up to installing some posts (there's only three of them so it will take no time to put them in as long as we have enough people to lift them into place) bring a mower so we can get the runway done. An hours work for one person, faster with more people!
Gary is bringing out some paint so we can paint the posts and the sleepers down at the edge of the runway. An hours work for one less with more people.
REMEMBER:- The more that turn up the faster it all gets done and the better the field will look for everyone. You don't have to stay the whole time, you can leave when you want. The important thing is you were there to help while you could.
See you all there around 8-8:30 or when you can manage to get there.
Thanks in advance to those of you that can make it.
This coming Sunday (Sept 15) we will be at the Comboyne Village Fair displaying our helicopters and answering any questions you may have about flying RC helicopters. We will also be doing some demonstration flights however these may be limited depending on how much space is available as we must be aware of the crowd and the regulations for how far we must be away from people when flying.

With 17 visitors & a number of interested viewers, we had around 35 people come to what was a perfect days flying, fun & friendship. This is what being involved in this hobby/sport is all about. Thanks everyone.
